At this point in time, its an idea who's time has come, just like having a black president.

There are definitely more pressing global issues at this time.

It shouldn't matter who wants to join and wed, and have family with whom, as long as their is love, respect and support, isn't that was the sanctity of marriage is all about?

The same roots of the word Sacred is also Sacrifice. Myself, its time to move out of the sacrifice/martyr phase of this civilization and more back into what is sacred and valuable for future generations.
